Salt supports fish by altering osmotic conditions in the water which can help stabalise pH levels and reduce nitrite toxicity effects by reducing nitrite uptake through the gills.

Osmotic Balance
Supports osmotic balance, helping fish regulate fluids and maintain stability in changing water conditions. Salt alters osmotic conditions in the water, which can make the environment less favourable for certain microorganisms which impact your koi.
Dissolves Quickly
Dissolves quickly and cleanly, allowing for precise and controlled dosing in treatment plans. Use carefully and increase salinity in controlled 0.1% daily increments.

Salt is an extremely useful tool, widely used across a range of pond management scenarios by experienced koi keepers. You need to ensure you do not overdose and only use as much as you need. Note: Salt is only reduced through dilution via water changes.
Supports Koi Health
Salt helps create a stable pond environment that supports fish during periods of stress, minor damage, and water quality imbalance. Supports fish resilience where bacteria or parasites may be present.Dosage: 1kg of salt per 1000 litres of water will increase the salinity by 0.1%. Normal pond level should be kept between 0.1% and 0.3% unless you are using for quarantine, treating parasites or another function you require higher levels for.
Instructions: Always accurately calculate your pond volume. Increase salinity in controlled 0.1% daily increments to avoid stressing the fish and raising salinity too quickly. Test the water using a digital salinity meter before redosing. As a general guide normal use and stress relief increase salinity up to 0.3%. For quarantining you can increase up to 0.6%.
REMEMBER: salinity levels can only be reduced by performing partial water changes, so increase with care.

What should I do if I receive a damaged or incorrect product?
If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please contact us at orders@queni-koi.co.uk as soon as possible. We will replace the product free of charge and cover the return shipping costs for the incorrect or damaged item.
Can I return koi or specially made products?
Unfortunately, once koi have left our premises, we cannot accept any responsibility for them, and they cannot be returned. Additionally, specially made products, such as custom filtration systems, can only be returned if they are faulty or damaged.
How do I cancel my order?
